The glaring issue with this purchase / seller is color. Both myself and friend who purchased a gambeson received colors very far from what we expected, which is quite disappointing and easily avoidable by displaying a REAL fabric swatch.nnMy requests were very well accommodated how ever.nnSome nitpicks, the leather is questionable. I’m not sure it’s real, but it’s certainly cheap feeling. The sizing is a little tight despite giving slightly larger dimensions. This was also true for my friend who bought a gambeson from this seller, and a friend who bought shoes.nnSo overall I would order again from this seller, but be very diligent about the color you’re going to receive, aswell as add some slop to any measurements.

Right, 5 stars – that’s the important part. Top notch communication, product is fantastic – note that the adjustments are an extra $25 submitted on ebay (that should really be on the sales page). I had slits put in the rear of the gambeson, the lower skirt lengthened, the collar lengthened, and slits put in the armpits (it’s Texas, we only have a short gambeson wearing season without heat exhaustion). It came out AMAZING. I was concerned as I’ve had personalized etsy things not live up to my expectations, but this gamebson and its personalization is superb. It is thinner than some – I LIKE that – again, Texas. My only critique, and I really have to look for one, is that the leather straps are very thin leather – for an extra couple of bucks in price they could be at least 2mm thick and I’d pay. Very good stuff.

Great item. The gambeson is very protective and well-made, though the arms/sleeves need a little breaking in, otherwise you’re left T-Posing on the field.nnA word of warning to anyone who hasn’t bought gambeson before; you’re going sweat. A lot. Gambeson can get very warm, very quickly – I sweat just getting into the thing. If you’re just after an item for a simple costume, look for a thinner gambeson than this. If you need something to protect you, this will do just nicely.

The gambeson I ordered is perfect – and the customer service is just as good!nIt was made exactly as I asked for it; the size was just as requested, and even included the custom split in the back exactly like I had asked for it!nIf I ever need another gambeson, this is the place I’ll be getting it from!n(One thing of note for other buyers as well; I ordered mine bigger than my actual size, and it fits perfectly. So that is something to keep in mind. If I had ordered it smaller, it probably wouldn’t have fit me very well. Just something to keep in mind.)
