What a great piece. Does exactly what a padded gambeson is supposed to do. Shipping was very fast, only a few days to the US from India. I chose to wear it under a chainmail shirt and surcoat for a ren faire. It really works well with my outfit. The leather straps work well to secure the gambeson closed, and it’s long enough that you could wear full-length chainmail over it. It would work well with a set of armored vambraces, but the design does not work well with gloves as it is too big for the glove to fit over. My only real complaint is that it gets super hot while wearing, so you will need to stay hydrated. Oh, and if you are wearing chainmail, I would suggest a different color, or it will get very dirty. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
